Sacraments of Healing
Reconciliation
Spiritual Healing
“Come now, let us talk this over, says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow. Though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.” - Isaiah 1:18
God’s forgiving, healing love helps us to grow and become sharers in the ministry of reconciliation. Reconciliation is a reminder to al of us that God loves us no matter what.
As Christian parents, we lay the foundation of this ministry by giving unconditional love, forgiveness and reconciliation to our children. And as our children experience this in our care, they begin to glimpse the true nature of the love of God and the promise of lasting peace and happiness, which is God’s promise to us. In order to receive this sacrament, each student needs to be registered with the Faith Formation office or attending Catholic Schools.

Sacrament of the Annointing of the Sick
Gives strength, hope and healing
“Is there anyone sick among you? One should ask for the ( ) of the church. They in turn are to pray over them, anointing them with the oil in the Name of the Lord,” - James 1
In this sacrament a priest anoints the sick with blessed oil to give strength, hope and healing. A new illness, fragileness or a worsening of health enables a person to receive this beautiful sacrament.
Twice a year, the third Sunday in May and November, at 3 p.m, there is a special liturgy for all who wish to be anointed. This is an opportunity to pray with one another as a community for strength and hope
The sick person or a caregiver can request individual anointing at other times. If you know of someone who is preparing for surgery, is suffering from a serious illness, or fragile, encourage them to celebrate the Sacrament of Healing.
Contact one of the parish priests for information on the healing sacraments.
